Air Force Organization(s) Involved: 2231st and 2259th Air Reserve Flying Centers and 757th Trp Carr Sq. 4 tons of cots and blankets. Aircraft Employed: C–46 (five). Operations: A severe winter storm at the end of January dropped heavy rain over the mountains of eastern Kentucky, southern West Virginia, western Virginia, and northeastern Tennessee.
