Er enthalt neben den Erganzungen zur Infinitesimalrechnung einer Variablen grundlegenden Stoff aus der Infinitesimalrechnung mit mehreren Vari ablen nebst Anwendungen auf numerische Rechenmethoden, sowie auf die Differentialgeometrie. Das Buch kann naturlich auch ohne gleich zeitige Benutzung meines Lehrbuches verwendet werden, da auch in diesem Band in jedem Abschnitt der in Frage kommende Hintergrund an Begriffen, Formeln und Satzen zusammengestellt ist, von dem aus die Aufgaben angepackt werden konnen. Wie im ersten Band, sind die Losungen der Aufgaben zumeist in zwei Schritten angegeben, zuerst in den Hinweisen und sodann in den Losungen . Aus praktischen Grunden ist dieser Band in zwei getrennte und einzeln erhaltliche Teilbande aufgeteilt worden, von denen der erste (II A) Aufgaben und Hinweise und der zweite (II B) Losungen enthalt. Der Verlag hat wie immer den zahlreichen Wunschen des Autors mit freundlicher Geduld und Ausdauer entsprochen.
